Brianne and Javin were married on Friday, June 5th, at Rogers Park, located in Tryon, NC. The look of the skies, combined with the rain I drove through on my way to the park made me almost certain that it would pour at some point during the ceremony (not too great for wedding photography) – but I was wrong! Not even a drop of rain. Brianne and Javin decided to meet before the ceremony to better capture the expressions on their faces when the first saw each other on their wedding day. It’s a marvelous thing to watch a couple react and interact openly when the bride gently taps her groom on his shoulder, and he turns to see her in her dress for the very first time, just before they become husband and wife. Often times emotions can be surpressed by of all of the guests watching, but this”alone time” allows us to really get a glimpse into what the couple is feeling when they first see each other. I think that it makes for some very special moments together, as well as beautiful and meaningful photographs that otherwise wouldn’t be possible!
The ceremony was both beautiful and moving; the pastor talked about two lives that are now one, and a life that is centered around God and His plan for us. I was genuinely impressed by the decorating at the reception, which was held at a church fellowship hall; the decor featured bright, fun colors, and a marvelous overhead draping of white linen. In a few words, the wedding was short, simple, sweet, and so beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by!
