Lacey & Brandon’s wedding was held at Hopewell Baptist Church in Blacksburg, South Carolina (just outside of Charlotte). The beautiful autumn day provided an excellent setting for a picture perfect wedding! The church was a dream for wedding photographers; it gorgeous both inside and out, decorated with wedding details in colorful autumn splendor. But, at the ceremony, I felt a little like Michael Knight if KITT refused to talk to him, since I wasn’t allowed to photograph the service. But, I stood in the back, with my camera in hand, dying to press the shutter. Fortunately, we got some great photographs after the wedding, and I think that the story was still conveyed with some beautiful, romantic images of the couple too.

At the wedding reception, Brandon hit the stage, playing guitar with his former band from Charleston, SC. These guys rocked the house! When Brandon told me that he would be playing at the reception, I had no idea that he would be modern version of the great Stevie Ray Vaughn! AWESOME!

Thanks for visiting; please come back again soon!

Hi Ron, how is life in the South treating you! I stumbled across your blog tonight and took some time to look through your photos. They look wonderful, and your post production is fantastic. That first picture of the church is very interesting, did you do an HDR technique on that? Anyhow, best wishes for 2009. Hoffmann

Thanks ; )You are correct… the church image you referred to is indeed a HDR image, which I am hoping to do a great bit more this wedding season.
