Beautiful Outdoor Wedding at Lindsey Plantation in Taylors SC – Kelsey and Dalton

First Look - Bride and Groom interacting before wedding

Kelsey and Dalton were happily joined in marriage at Lindsey Plantation, in Taylors, South Carolina. Lindsey Plantation is simply the finest rustic/scenic wedding venue in the Upstate SC area, and features several locations which are perfect for any outdoor wedding. Kelsey and Dalton chose two of the most prominent features of the wedding venue, to host their ceremony and reception. The wedding was held in a spacious open field which is set towards the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains, and the reception was in a barn converted to accommodate most any event. My assistant, Brittany, and I arrived a bit early in order to photograph some of the wedding details, and get some  bridal portraits of Kelsey in her gorgeous wedding dress! After spending some time with her and the bridesmaids, it was time for one of my favorite things – The First Look! I absolutely LOVE First Looks, because it gives the bride and groom a time to spend together, without having to wait nearly all day to have some alone time. This also allows me to create romantic images of the wedding couple, that may be otherwise impossible, due to time constraints of a typical wedding day. I always try to get photographs of the bride and groom seeing each other for the very first time on their wedding day, but First Looks allow them to convey what they are feeling at that moment, instead of toning it down in front of everyone. Okay, I’ll stop rambling now; I just love them though, as you can tell! The ceremony was officiated by Kelsey’s father, which was likely the most meaningful wedding ceremony he has ever done. The wedding featured several songs by some of the bridesmaids, and beautiful live music with acoustic guitar and piano. After the big kiss at the end of the wedding ceremony, “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” in a rock style blasted from the speakers, as Kelsey with Rock Star Shades, and Dalton with his ball cap, exited the ceremony with excitement! Since all of the “formal photography” had been completed before the wedding, everyone was able to join guests at the reception immediately following the ceremony. Guests enjoyed a bit of dancing, marvelous cake, and a cool photo booth before it was time to head home. When the reception ended, Kelsey and Dalton were sent off with an awesome balloon launch, with family and friends cheering with excitement! What a beautiful wedding day, spent with a beautiful couple!

Congratulations Dalton and Kelsey; and thanks so much for trusting me with your wedding photography!
