I had the privilege to photograph the images below for the Westin Poinsett in Greenville, South Carolina. In short, they are celebrating 10 years since their re-opening. Instead of me trying to elaborate, I have posted the article from The Greenville News.

The Westin Poinsett Hotel is 10 years old – again – and getting a makeover. A downtown landmark for more than 70 years, the hotel reopened in 2000 after undergoing a close to $20 million renovation.
This fall, guest rooms will be upgraded, officials said. The 200-room, four-diamond hotel was constructed by W.L Stoddard in 1925. In 1997, Steven Dopp and Gregory Lenox of Charleston purchased it and work was done to bring it to its present luster.
Fabian Unterzaucher, the hotel’s general manager for six years, said the Westin would not be as successful if it hadn’t had the community’s support. He also said it’s the Westin Poinsett’s “people more than the building and location, that create the lasting impressions that make guests stay with us over and over again.” The hotel observed its 10-year anniversary with a photo shoot and a party that paid special tribute to the five employees who have been with the hotel since its reopening. A partners and customer appreciation reception will follow later this year. Within the last 10 years, the Westin Poinsett has received numerous accolades, including the AAA 4 Diamond award and the “Best Guest Satisfaction” award from Interstate Hotel and Resorts. The Westin Poinsett consistently ranks in the top 10 percent of all Westin hotels in North America for guest service.
And over the years, the Westin Poinsett has hosted celebrities and dignitaries such as President Barack Obama, actors George Clooney and Renee Zellweger and musicians Itzhak Pearlman and Yo Yo Ma.
In the next 10 years to come, the hotel will remain a Westin property under a renewed contract with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. A sign of strength, said Unterzaucher, is the hotel ownership’s successful refinancing of its mortgage through Wells Fargo Bank.
