Wedding and reception at Table Rock Lodge (Table Rock State Park, South Carolina) – Rachel and Nathan.
I am happy to feature this wedding for a couple of main reasons! First of all, the wedding joined two close friends of mine. Secondly, the blog post below was written by Kaitlin Hogan, who is also a close friend, but more importantly, she was the Maid Of Honor for Nathan and Rachel’s wedding day! – Ron
Here is her post…
When you’re in your twenties, weddings can start to seem like an unintentional hobby, but the really special ones become treasured memories. The wedding of Nathan Jackson and Rachel Sims will be one of those for me though being the maid of honor and counting the couple as two of my closest friends may cause me to be a little biased. That being said, the wedding venue was kind of perfect. Table Rock Lodge has the panoramic view, the old-stone charm, and the out-of-the-way dreaminess needed to house a day of romance that resonated with the guests who have known the couple so well. Add in a wedding photographer, who is a also a friend of the couple (and whose wife was also a bridesmaid), and the wedding couldn’t have been more modern-day storybook.
Pictures of the wedding party were taken on the porch in front of a staggering view. I don’t think Rachel could have looked more beautiful. Her earthy beauty and fairy-like flower girls speaks to Rachel’s literary charm. Watching the tears in Nathan’s eyes, as she walked down the aisle created that timeless moment, the kind that echoes forward through long, sweet years of marriage. The ceremony was special itself, with the couple exchanging vows once said by Rachel’s grandparents.
After the official announcement of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, refreshments were downstairs, giving Rachel and Nathan time to greet their guests while the upstairs was transformed from chapel to reception hall. After enjoying an excellent catered meal, provided by A Taste Of Distinction, everyone went back upstairs to celebrate with toasts, cake (By Kathy & Company), and dancing. It was with happy hearts, that we rang Rachel and Nathan out to their new life with little wedding bells. Because if you know the couple, you will know their love for each other, and Ron’s work from the day is just one small “picture” (haha) of that in action. – Kaitlin HoganFlying Pig Photography [Simply Extraordinary!] Greenville, SC Wedding and Portrait Photographers
