Ashley and Dan were married on April 2 in the courtyard beside Larkin’s on the River in downtown Greenville, SC. The day started across the Reedy River at the Hampton Inn and Suites, where Ashley and some of her friends prepared for the wedding day. I think she may have chosen her room strategically so that she could spy on (I mean easily see) how everything was coming together at the Whyche Pavilion, where the reception was to be held : )
While Ashely was getting ready, she wasn’t sure about wearing the blush on her veil. In the end, she decided to wear it, and she did until her dad lifted it off of her face so beautifully and kissed her before giving her away. Just a few seconds later, the wind picked it right up off of her head and carried it far away! Hey, every wedding should be unique, right? Anyway, it is always good to have a little laughter during a wedding ceremony to relieve some stress.
After the wedding, we headed to Main Street in Greenville to create some cool photography of the newlyweds and the small wedding party; we didn’t have a lot of time, but we had a lot of fun! We got some awesome images too. As I mentioned before, the reception was held just behind Larkin’s restaurant at the Whyche Pavilion, beside the Reedy River. This location is beautiful, and incorporates a somewhat indoor feel while remaining very open and embracing of the environment surrounding it.
P.S. Special thanks to Ashley’s brother, Ryan, who runs a music studio in Atlanta; he did a great job with the entertainment for the evening!
