Tiffany and Michael are two of the most friendly people that one could ever hope to meet; I am thankful that I had the opportunity to photograph such a wonderful couple. In August, Tiffany commissioned me to do her bridal portrait session on the campus of the University of South Carolina, where she attended school. We had such a blast, and I knew that hanging out and photographing the wedding day would be a lot of fun too.
The wedding was held at Right Direction Christian Center in Columbia, South Carolina. The design of the church building was quite unique (it reminded me a little of a Hershey’s Kiss), and provided a beautiful location for the ceremony. You will notice in the photography gallery that the images jump from Tiffany dancing in her dressing room, to the mothers lighting the unity candles. I thought it was a neat contrast between a quiet sanctuary and a partying bride at the same time (our cameras are in sync). Then, Tiffany stood at the entrance to the sanctuary and sang to Michael, before she was escorted by her father down the aisle. That girl has an amazing voice! The marriage was overseen by Drs. Herbert and Marcia Bailey, who each provided valuable insights into the roles of a husband and wife within the home, and in life. She and Michael also took communion together to associate their marriage being joined in Christ.
The wedding reception took place at the Courtyard Marriott, near downtown Columbia. The ballroom was decorated with gold and white linens, and everything looked fabulous! After the meal together, everyone was well entertained (old school style) by Michael and some of the fellas out on the dance floor. It was hard enough following them with my camera, and I would never attempt to follow with my lame moves ; )
Thanks again to Michael and Tiffany for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day!
Please note that I divided the photography into two seperate galleries, due to the number of images.
