As soon as I met Angie and DJ at the studio, I knew that I wanted to work with them on their wedding day. Their laid-back style, and appreciation for fun in life, make them perfect wedding photography clients. The wedding day started at Wisteria Salon-Spa, where Angie and the girls had their hair done. Then, we went by Angie’s home to get some makeup on (well not me), and also I had fun getting some candid portraits of their cute Pug. Miranda and I had the privilege of photographing Angie and DJ’s engagement session a few months ago in Mauldin, and downtown Greenville. We had a blast! Angie and DJ have used images from the session to decorate parts of their home, along with notes on the walls to celebrate their relationship. I am glad to see that they are enjoying their images every day, which I believe promotes the intimacy that they share.
The wedding ceremony was held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Something that I thought was super cool, were the images of DJ and Angie opening their gifts to each other at the same time. Miranda and I were photographing the wedding together, so the images bounced from DJ to Angie in real time, and their expressions said it all : )
The wedding reception was held at The Loom at Cotton Mill Place. The brick walls, hardwood floors, and large panoramic windows, make this venue a beautiful choice for a reception. As you can see, Angie, DJ, and their family and friends had a great time! I am not a big dancer myself, but from what I can tell, it looks like DJ is a master (even showing his skills at a little square dancing). Loads of fun – All day long!
Thanks Angie and DJ, for trusting Miranda and I with your wedding photography!
Thanks for stopping by!
