My assistant photographer, Amanda, and I arrived around 2pm at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in downtown Greenville, to photograph the wedding day of Tiffany and Andrew. First, we checked out the ballroom where the wedding ceremony and reception was to be held; everything was coming together very nicely, and excitement was in the air already! I gave Andrew a call, and we met up in the lobby to discuss getting a few photos of him before the wedding started. I wanted to meet Tiffany before I got started, so we went up to where she was getting her hair done. The room was buzzing with excitement and tasks to be done as the time was drawing closer when the couple would be forever joined together! There wasn’t a suitable area in Tiffany’s room to hang her wedding dress for photography, so Amanda and I took it downstairs to get some great images. After we created a few dress pics, Amanda went with Tiffany to create photos of her getting ready, while I stayed with Andrew and his son to get a few images with them. It wasn’t long before it was time for the wedding ceremony to begin. We went to the “Gold Room” and did some testing with the lighting, and then wedding guests started to pour into the room with joyous anticipation. It was so awesome to see the expressions on the faces of the bride and groom as Tiffany headed down the aisle towards Andrew. Tiffany had been waiting for more than fifteen years for God to bring the right man into her life; she made it known that she wasn’t simply settling for second-best. The ceremony was beautiful, and included the couple lighting a unity candle to symbolize two independent souls, now joining as ONE! After Andrew and Tiffany sealed their vows with a kiss, we went to the lobby, and then outside to get some more pics, while the hotel staff prepared the room for their reception. There was simply too much activity to list for the reception, but after all was said and done, the bride and groom exited into the night through a tunnel of sparklers, and were carried away on a horse-drawn-carriage – so romantic! Amanda and I did meet up with the couple at Falls Park, and then back on the rooftop of The Westin Poinsett for some final portraits. Congratulations Andrew and Tiffany! Thanks again for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day!
