My wife and I met the girls early in the morning at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in Greenville, to completely cover the story of Joanne’s wedding day experience. First we headed to Dimitra Designs where the girls had hair and make-up done, then back to the Westin Hotel for what was the fastest wardrobe changes I have ever seen (Actually, I didn’t see it, but I only waited outside of the room for a few minutes)! Then I captured a few images of everyone in front of the hotel, and we all headed to an RV to be taken to the church. The wedding ceremony was held at Daniel Chapel on the campus of Furman University, and was performed by Matt’s father; I think it is especially meaningful when a parent actually joins one of their children in marriage! After the ceremony, the entire wedding party (and myself) piled into the RV to be taken to the reception which was held at the Hellenic Center at St George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, near downtown Greenville. Family and friends (and there were a lot of them) enjoyed a buffet meal and dancing to celebrate Joanne and Matt becoming husand and wife. The newleyweds enjoyed music and singing by Matt’s brother, Andy Lehman, as they danced the last dance for the evening; and as a musician myself, I was super impressed by that performance! Finally, Matt and Joanne rushed through a shower of bubbles created by cheering guests, as they made their way to their well-decorated car to head away.
